Along with many SPE sections, the SPE Bergen Section have developed a Young Professionals
(YP) program, to support and assist those in the industry with fewer than 10 years’
experience. Regional and international programs have also been initiated, including
the Young Professionals Network
The worldwide network allows young members to discuss career issues, ideas, events,
and best practices for sustaining SPE and the industry. Through the network, young
professionals function as an international team, maximizing the impact of local
initiatives while also creating international events to serve the needs of today's
young, global member.
SPE Bergen YP Programme
The Bergen YP programme aims to be the main arena for knowledge and network among
Young Professionals in the Bergen area. Participating on YP events enables you
to meet and discuss with other YP's across disciplines and across companies, adding
to your professional and social network. The YP program is funded by, and part
of, the general activities hosted by the SPE Bergen Section. YP members will,
however, receive additional information and exclusive YP events will be hosted.
We especially encourage graduating student members to continue their membership with the SPE, and enter the industry with the powerful
backing of the most important organization within the petroleum industry. Remember
that most employers will pay your membership dues.
On these pages, you will find information regarding the Young Professionals program
in Bergen. If you are not yet a member of the SPE, visit our membership pages
to seek information on how to register.
