The annual One Day Seminar, hosted by the SPE Bergen Section, offers 6 parallel
sessions of high-quality presentations provided by both national and international
representatives from industry and academia alongside a substantial trade exhibition
featuring some 40 companies and organizations.
The One Day Seminar is a well-established annual event, and is one of the largest
events of its kind in Norway. The seminar and exhibition provide the opportunity for the geosciences and engineering communities to meet and share
technical knowledge and experiences.

Exhibition
The SPE Bergen One Day Seminar also hosts a substantial trade exhibition, covering
some 2000 sqm of floor area. The atmosphere in the exhibition area is very intimate
with excellent opportunities for networking as well as the opportunity to get
technical information from the different exhibitors highly qualified stand officers.
Venue
The conference and exhibition take place in Grieghallen, Bergen’s famous concert and conference venue. Bergen itself is an excellent
place to visit, with extensive cultural and entertainment facilities. It is famous
for its impressive geographical setting and frequently referred to as the Gateway
to the Fjords of western Norway.
Next ODS
The 2011 One Day Seminar will be held on April 6th, in Grieghallen, Bergen.
The planning of, and preparations for, the 2011 ODS is well underway. One important
step forward for the SPE Bergen Section has been the initiative to involve SPE
International in the planning and execution phase of the 2011 OSD. A dedicated
event manager appointed by SPEI will enable us to deliver an even better seminar,
as work load on the volunteers of the SPE Bergen Section board has been stretched
the last couple of years. The seminar will still remain its familiar shape and
form, but some new features might be introduced.
