NPF and SPE Bergen sign agreement to strengthen cooperation in the Bergen region

SPE Bergen and the Norwegian Petroleum Society (NPF) has signed agreement to
develop a closer cooperation between the two organisations. The aim is to expand
networking and contribute to increased knowledge and understanding of the oil
& gas industry in the Bergen region.
The Bergen region is home to one of the strongest offshore and subsea communities
in the world. Already, the SPE and the NPF is providing solid platforms for network
building and knowledge dissertation in the Bergen area.
- Our main intention with this agreement is to strengthen the collaboration between
our two organisations and thereby increasing what we are able to offer our members
in the Bergen Region, says Arne Kvamsdal, Chairman SPE Bergen.
- We have worked together with the NPF also on earlier occasions, but with the
new agreement in place the cooperation between our organizations will become a
more formal one, he further says.
Between them, the two organizations have more than 1200 members in the Bergen
region.
